This month's topic: What did suffrage mean to the lives of women in the Pikes Peak Region? Facilitated by staffers of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, this tour highlights women’s stories of work, activism and philanthropy in the historic working-class neighborhood of Southwest Downtown. Discover how the 19th Amendment – which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year – paved the way for women to actively advocate for themselves, their families and their community. PLEASE NOTE: THIS TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE AUG. 8, NOT AUG. 1, TO AVOID CONFLICT WITH THE COLORADO GROWN FESTIVAL. THE TOUR WILL START AT LOYAL COFFEE (408 S. Nevada Ave.), NOT THE WILD GOOSE.
Loyal Coffee Co
Tours depart at 10 a.m. from the Wild Goose Meeting House (401 N. Tejon St).
